Taylor Odle makes list of nation’s top 200 education scholars

IDS affiliate Taylor Odle recently made a list of 2026’s top-200 U.S. education scholars. The list, appearing in EdWeek, was compiled by a 27-member committee with rankings partially based on factors including Google Scholar citations, appearances in the popular press, and syllabus scores. Odle is one of three UW-Madison researchers to make this year’s list, with Gloria Ladson-Billings and Suzanne Eckes.

Odle is an assistant professor in Educational Policy Studies. He studies the economics of education and education policy, with a particular focus on college access and success, including college admissions practices, financial aid, and college advising and coaching.
