Toby Campbell’s expertise is in facilitating complex conversations such as breaking bad news, family meetings, and high risk decision making. His work on communication crosses a variety of disciplines and he has published in major medical, surgical, sociological, and communication-oriented journals. Dr. Campbell is the recipient of numerous awards related to both his research and his compassionate care for patients including humanism awards from the University of Virginia, University of Wisconsin, and Northwestern University.
