Mariana Nozela Prado is a doctoral student in Sociology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Their research agenda focuses on expanding the understanding of how sexual and gender minorities’ experiences differ both from cis- and heteronormative individuals as well as from each other. Some of the social problems her work engages with are sexual harassment at the workplace; the relationship between anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, public discourse and individual beliefs and attitudes; and migration and internal displacement. They hold a B.A. in Political Science from Stetson University and a M.A. in Conflict Resolution from Georgetown University.
