Biography

Susan Racine Passmore, PhD, is Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing. Trained as a medical anthropologist, Dr Passmore’s work focuses upon the social construction of trust and the practical application of this knowledge to create innovative approaches for building researcher “trustworthiness.” This is the foundation of an R21 from National Human Genome Research Institute and a supplement award from the National Institute on Aging. Dr. Passmore’s work also includes a focus on researcher-level barriers to inclusive research practices including bias and systemic racism. She works on solutions through researcher educational programs including the Building Trust and Just Research programs.
