My research focuses on judgment and decision making about performance. One stream of research examines the influence of our beliefs and narratives about achievement and resilience on evaluations about performance. Another stream of research examines the impact of visual information in judgment about performance. Both lines of work have intersected with the areas of entrepreneurship, gender, diversity, healthcare, leadership, and policy. Overall, I aim to contribute to scholarship and practice to improve the quality and fairness of decision making about performance in professional selection and advancement.
