Kate Walsh

Biography

Dr. Walsh is a licensed clinical psychologist, Professor in the Psychology and Gender & Women’s Studies departments, and director of UW-Madison’s Sexual Violence Research Initiative. She earned her PhD from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in traumatic stress at the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center at the Medical University of South Carolina and a substance use epidemiology fellowship from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. She was an assistant professor at Yeshiva University before joining UW-Madison in the fall of 2020.
