On January 12, IDS Chair Angela Byars-Winston participated in a panel with Rev. Dr. Marcus Allen, and Mr. Confidence Kpegeol about the difficulties still faced by African Americans in health care today and the important role African American churches play in promoting health and healthcare coverage for their communities. The panel was part of an Martin Luther King, Jr. Day event hosted by the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
